Tsunami Devastation, Boxing Day 2004
These are the remains of people's homes and villages on the coast of Kanyakumari District, following the devastating tsunami of Christmas 2004. Thankfully, many of these fishing villages have now been rebuilt, and with financial help from government and private sources the fishermen now have newer and better boats with which to ply their trade.
